Hey, everyone! Today I want to teach you how to create an investment strategy for your fund!
Here’s some of the most crucial details to consider when creating your investment strategy.
4 Elements of a Fund Strategy
You are the expert on your investment strategy. If you don’t know what’s going on, things won’t turn out.
Find your strategy and stick with it.
Like Lincoln said in my video…
“Once you’ve made investors using one strategy, then you can branch out and try others.”
Why do you need a strategy? Because people won’t trust you if it sounds like you don’t know what you’re doing.
So, it’s vital to know your industry and your plan.
Your strategy needs to be scalable. You should be able to get the same returns (if not better) if you had $1M, $10M or $100M.
If you have a million different variables in your real estate fund and no systems, it will be a nightmare to scale!
Your fund needs to make sense.
If you have loads of data, find 2 or 3 focal points that you can base your thesis on.
Ask yourself, “What’s the why, what, who, how, and when of my fund?”
For example, “What’s my plan?”, “How am I going to do it?”, or “When will it start?”
Let’s say you have a strategy to trade BTC and ETH.
You raise money, trading goes well, then a couple of years later, they both crash!
Are you able to stick to your strategy or do you pivot?
What will you say to investors? What’s your plan when things go south?
This is important to consider because if you tank your fund and lose your investor’s money, your career as a fund manager is over!
Hopefully, you now know how to create an investment strategy for your fund.
That’s it for today!
Thanks,
